It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Inspector Taylor E. Bass, IAFF 14th District Local 2455, Slidell, Louisiana. Brother Bass, 40, passed away on February 23, 2023, after suffering a medical emergency.

Visitation will be held on Tues., Feb. 28, 2023, from 9:30-11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Covington, 16333 LA 1085, Covington Louisiana, 70433; phone: (985) 892-2149. The funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
