It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Lieutenant Charles Freeman, IAFF 11th District Local 4183 - Montgomery County Professional Firefighters Association, Texas. Brother Freeman, 40, passed away on Sept. 29, 2024, after suffering a medical emergency.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 20850 Eva Street, Montgomery, Texas, 77356. The funeral services will take place on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Margaritaville Lake Resort Conference, 600 Margaritaville Park Way, Montgomery, Texas, 77356.

Biographical Comments
On Sunday, September 29, Montgomery County ESD #2 Lieutenant Charles “Buddy” Freeman died. He was 40 years old. The 14-year firefighter had a medical emergency on July 9, which claimed his life following a valiant fight to survive. The family of firefighters across Montgomery County and beyond joins Lt. Freeman’s civilian family in their tremendous gratitude for his life and grief for his loss. Montgomery County ESD #2 asks everyone to keep praying for those mourning the lieutenant’s loss.
