Summary
Three Baltimore firefighters, Lt. Paul Butrim, FF/P Kelsey Sadler and FF/P Kenneth Lacayo died after a partial collapse trapped them in a burning row house fire in West Baltimore. FF/EMT John McMaster also sustained injuries and was hospitalized in serious condition.

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty deaths of Firefighter/Paramedic Kenneth A. Lacayo, IAFF 4th District Local 734, Baltimore, Maryland. Firefighter/Paramedic Lacayo, Lieutenant Paul Butrim, and Firefighter/Paramedic Kelsey R. Sadler died while fighting a structural fire on January 24, 2022.

Firefighter/EMT John McMaster remains hospitalized from injuries sustained in the structural collapse.

A joint Memorial Service is planned for 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201, with a processional to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Rd., Timonium, MD 21093, immediately following.
