It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter/EMT Marcelo Garcia, IAFF 11th District, Local 341 - Houston, Texas. Brother Garcia, 42, was killed while fighting a structural fire on Nov. 6, 2024.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A Funeral service will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St Joseph Pkwy, Houston, TX 77002.
