It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter/Paramedic Trever A. Murphy, IAFF District 8 Local 3816, Orange Township, OH. Brother Murphy, 29, succumbed to PTSD on April 12, 2019.

Visitation will take place on April 25, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 pm and 5:00-8:00 pm at Cypress Wesleyan Church, 377 Alton-Darbe Road, Galloway, OH 43119; phone (614) 878-8192.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on April 26, 2019 at the same location.

*Trever has served the I.A.F.F. for 1 1/2 years as Firefighter/Paramedic.
*He served 3 1/2 years as a part-time Firefighter/Paramedic for Orange Township Fire Department as well as 5 years as a volunteer with Albins Township Fire Department.
*Was a Paramedic Instructor for Columbus State Community College for about a year.

Firefighter/Paramedic Terver A. Murphy was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in December 2018 after a couple distressing responses in November 2018, as well as severe personal stresses. Firefighter/Paramedic Murphy had been receiving treatment and support since. Firefighter/Paramedic Murphy succumbed to the PTSD by suicide.
