It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Peyton L. Morse, IAFF 1st District Local 191, Watertown, New York. Brother Peyton, 21, passed away on March 12, 2021 after suffering a medical emergency during training.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 521 James Street, Clayton, New York 13624; phone: (315) 686-3398. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 19, 2021 also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Biographical Comments
Peyton’s entire life was dedicated to helping people and he would want all of us to continue his mission in life.
The Watertown Fire Department is saddened to announce the Line of Duty Death of 21-year-old Firefighter Peyton Morse, Badge # 94, on March 12, 2021. On March 3rd, 2021 Firefighter Morse was participating in the Recruit Firefighter Training Program at the New York State Fire Academy at Montour Falls when he suffered a medical emergency. Firefighter Morse was rushed to a local hospital where he regained a heartbeat and was life flighted to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Firefighter Morse remained in the ICU fighting for his life with his wife and family beside him.
The calling hours and funeral arrangements will be detailed in a future release.
