It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter/EMT Kendall Giese, IAFF 2nd District Local 2607 -Cedar Rapids Airport, Iowa . Brother Giese, 36, passed away on March 26, 2025 after succumbing to occupational cancer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, at 4 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church-Iowa City, 4330 St. Patrick Drive, Iowa City, Iowa 52240. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at the same location.
